This site is a tribute  to Helene Kirsova by John Hood.

 

Kirsova was the star of De Basil’s Ballet Russe during its1936/37 Australian tour. She opened Australia’s first professional ballet company, and dedicated the profits to providing children’s playgrounds in Sydney’s most disadvantaged inner suburbs.
